New publication about harbour porpoises in the Thames now available

A new paper about harbour porpoises in the Thames has just been published in Mammal Communications. The paper details results from the first dedicated survey of the Thames, undertaken from R/V Song of the Whale, along with previously unpublished strandings and opportunistic sightings, to document the species year round presence. Densities of porpoises in the Thames Estuary were found to be comparable with other important European porpoise habitats.
